The people of Russia have spoken.

According to Interfax, a state news agency, the Russian public resoundingly chose its favorite public figure in a recent nationwide poll.

It is not hard to guess which man garnered 68 percent of the vote: President Vladimir Putin. The runner-up, Liberal Democratic Party leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky, received just four percent.

It was Putin's 15th year in a row taking the top prize.

Jeff Glor revealed the not-so-surprising results Tuesday on CBSN.
