Prosecutors: Calif. man targeted girls in "revenge porn" plot

LOS ANGELES -- A 19-year-old Los Angeles County man has pleaded not guilty to more than 150 counts of porn extortion -- so-called "revenge porn" -- after authorities say he tricked teenage girls into sending him nude photos.

The District Attorney's Office said Friday that Cesar Mauricio Estrada-Davila of Rosemead was charged with felony and misdemeanor counts of extortion, lewd acts upon a child, possessing child pornography and other crimes. He has been jailed.

Authorities say Estrada-Davila sought out girls on social networking websites between January and April, telling them he was a modeling agent, reports CBS Los Angeles. He told the girls he could make them famous, reports the station.

After asking them to send him photos of themselves in their underwear, he allegedly threatened to share those photos with their families unless they sent him nude pictures.

He was arrested after a victim told her parents. Prosecutors said they know of 21 alleged victims, reports the station.

According to the District Attorney's office, the suspect has pleaded not guilty and is due back in court Sept. 2, reports the station.

Authorities say victims ranged in age from 12 to 17. The station reports prosecutors submitted 15,000 pages of Facebook documents obtained by a search warrant.

Estrada-Davila faces multiple life sentences if convicted.
