Police searching for serial bank robber after heist in midtown NYC
NEW YORK -- The NYPD is on the hunt for a man wanted in seven midtown Manhattan bank robberies since September 2015, the most recent of which took place on Jan. 21, CBS New York reports.
In each incident, police said the suspect approached the teller and demanded money and made off with anywhere from $1,000 to $4,000, according to CBS New York.
The most recent robbery was committed at a Santander Bank on the Avenue of the Americas. Police said the suspect got away with $2,700 in that case.
He is described as a black male in his 40s, 5-feet, 9-inches tall, weighing approximately 170 pounds. He was last spotted wearing a New York Yankees baseball cap, black du-rag, blue jeans, and a black book bag, according to the station.
