(CBS) MOUNT SINAI, N.Y. -- A man wearing a shirt reading, "I'm a drunk," was arrested and charged with a DWI early Wednesday morning.

Guess it doesn't always pay to advertise.

CBS New York reports police in Suffolk County on Long Island  arrested Kevin Daly  after he slammed into a cop car. According to officers, Daly, 22, was driving in Mount Sinai around 1:45 a.m. when he hit the patrol car while attempting to turn onto Route 25A.

The New York Post says the officer, who is on the county's SAFE-T (Selective Alcohol Fatality Enforcement Team) section, was brought to the hospital with minor injuries. Daly wasn't hurt in the collision.

His shirt read in full, "I'm not an alcoholic. I'm a drunk. Alcoholics go to meetings."

However, he will soon have a meeting with a judge. Daly is set  to be arraigned on Thursday in Central Islip, N.Y.

Meanwhile, the Post also reports that the county police SAFE-T unit has made more than 830 DWI arrests this year.
