Fonda called 911 on Wednesday after he discovered the body in a car parked on the side of Sunset Boulevard, according to Sgt. Carlton Cook at the West Los Angeles Community Police Station.
Cook says the 70-year-old actor is absolutely not a suspect but did not have any more details.
The call was first reported by celebrity gossip site TMZ, which says Fonda got out of his car and found the man slumped over in the front seat. TMZ says that police believe the man may have committed suicide and that the body may have been there as long as three days.
