Persons of interest in Wis. murder found in Tenn.
TOMAH, Wis. -- Two people identified as persons of interest in a murder at a central Wisconsin hotel were apprehended in Tennessee -- based on parole warrants out of Idaho, reports CBS affiliate WKBT.
On March 11, police were called to an EconoLodge Hotel for a medical emergency and found the body of 43-year-old Derek Magnuson, who -- as an autopsy revealed -- was the victim of a homicide, according to the station.
Police later identified the persons of interest as Zachary Davis, 26, and Sebastian -- also known as Sabrina -- Martinez, 20. They believed that the pair had left the state after the homicide. Police had determined that neither of them had connections to the Tomah area and believe they were passing through.
Meanwhile, the Idaho Dept. of Corrections had also sent out information to law enforcement agencies across the country -- with the duo's prior probation and parole violations -- notifying officers to be on the lookout for them.
Davis and Martinez were eventually found in Millersville, Tenn. on Sunday. Both were reportedly apprehended on parole warrants and are currently being held in the Robertson County Jail, according to WKBT.
Law enforcement officials say the investigation in the Wisconsin murder is ongoing.
