People's Choice Awards nominee voting begins
While you're waiting to cast your ballot for the upcoming presidential election, you can keep busy voting for your favorite movies, TV shows and music acts.
Voting for the 2013 People's Choice Awards nominees is under way in 46 categories, including favorite movie icon, favorite late night talk show host and favorite male and female singers. The ballots will remain open until Nov. 2.
People's Choice Award organizers chose potential nominee contenders based on various criteria, including box-office grosses and music sales. TV series, movies and music released between Nov. 1, 2011, and Oct. 31, 2012, are eligible for nominations.
The top five in each category will be announced at a nomination ceremony Nov. 15.
The People's Choice Awards will be broadcast live on CBS from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles Jan. 9 starting at 9 p.m. ET. Kaley Cuoco will return as host.
