Paula Sladewski Murder: Playboy Model Left Nightclub With Stranger, Witnesses Tell Cops

NEW YORK (CBS) Murdered model Paula Sladewski may have left a nightclub with an unidentified man after being kicked out in the early hours of Jan. 3, investigators have told Crimesider.

According to Miami-Dade police spokesman Lt. Neal Cuevas, witnesses outside Club Space told investigators that they saw Sladewski talking, and ultimately leaving with a person described only as "a black man."

Sladewski's boyfriend, Kevin Klym, says that the couple got into a fight that morning and he was kicked out of the nightclub at 7 a.m. and took a cab back to his hotel alone.

His attorney then released surveillance video of a woman he claimed to be Sladewski, being escorted out of the club alone.

Investigators were later able to confirm that it was Sladewski on the video and that it was roughly 20 minutes after Klym was kicked out.

Sladewski's burning dead body was found in a dumpster about 10 miles away in North Miami that Sunday night.

As for Klym's story that he left the club alone, Lt. Cuevas told Crimesider that investigators have confirmed that he took a taxi alone shortly after leaving the club, but there is no video from the hotel to confirm what time he arrived.

Sladewski was an aspiring model who appeared in a 2003 Playboy talent search video. Recently she worked as an exotic dancer to earn money. Klym listed his job as laborer on a missing persons report. The couple lived between California and Michigan and were vacationing in Miami.
