I've been lax on Passport-gate, but it turns out I would have been behind the curve anyway if I'd jumped on it last night. The latest news, apparently, is that three presidential candidates had their passport files accessed recently:
Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and John McCain. The State Department's initial take last night was that the breaches were the result of "imprudent curiosity," but it's not clear if that explanation is still operative. More later, no doubt.
Anyway, what's in
a senator's passport file? It's not as if their travel plans are secret, so what else is in there? More on that later too, I'm sure.
