Anne Abernathy is an Olympic legend who holds a Guinness World Record as the oldest woman to ever compete in the Winter games. Her road to success has been a tumultuous one. In 2001, an accident on the luge track left Abernathy with a severe head injury. Despite a dismal prognosis, Abernathy recovered in time to compete in the Salt Lake City Olympics.
