Ohio man busted in lie, charged with murdering son

AKRON, Ohio - Kevin Golec, a 52-year-old eastern Ohio man, has been charged with murder after allegedly being caught in a lie. He is accused of stabbing his son to death, reports CBS affiliate WOIO.

Golec reportedly called 911 Friday night and told dispatchers that he and his 22-year-old son, Brian, were just attacked in their Akron home.

But according to Akron police, Kevin Golec was actually the attacker, and he stabbed Brian after the two got into an argument, reports the station.

Brian Golec was pronounced dead at the scene.

Kevin Golec has been charged with murder and domestic violence. He's locked up in the Summit County Jail.
