Obama Shoots Hoops With UConn Team

Last Monday, President Obama welcomed the undefeated University of Connecticut women's basketball to the White House. At a ceremony in the team's honor, the president paid tribute to the national champion's extraordinary season and accepted a Huskies jersey with his name on the back.

Then it was on to the presidential half court for a quick shoot around, during which Mr. Obama apparently outshot the 39-0 team. At least it sure seems that way: Today the White House released video which depicts a fine performance by the president.

"He only missed one shot out of five shots. In 20 years, I'll remember that I could not make one jump shot at the White House. My clothes hindered me. I couldn't extend my arms," point guard Renee Montgomery told the Hartford Courant.
