Obama lays wreath at Pentagon Memorial

WASHINGTON - President Barack Obama visited the Pentagon on Sunday in remembrance of those killed during the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
Mr. Obama, accompanied by his wife Michelle, laid a wreath at the 9/11 memorial at Pentagon.
The memorial was built in the path of the ill-fated flight, American Airlines Flight 77.

Each of the 184 victims is memorialized with a bench and accompanying reflecting pool.
It was 10 years ago Sunday that a hijacked Boeing 757 carrying 59 passengers rammed the headquarters of the U.S. military, killing everyone aboard and 125 people inside the building.
The president and first lady arrived at the Pentagon Sunday afternoon after visiting attacks sites in lower Manhattan and Shanksville, Pa., earlier in the day.
