No Sleep 'Til Phoenix For Palin

(CBS)
From CBS News' Scott Conroy:

(CLEVELAND) - Sarah Palin campaigns in six cities in five states on Monday, and that's not even the most grueling part of her final push before Election Day.

After her last campaign rally in Elko, Nev., concludes at about 11:15pm local time, Palin will fly overnight to Anchorage, so that she can vote at around 7am Alaska time in Wasilla. She'll then fly straight to Phoenix to be in place for the Republicans' Election Night party and isn't expected to land there until about 7:30pm ET.

Aides to Palin said there was never any serious discussion about the possibility of having the governor vote absentee, in order to avoid the grueling trip to Alaska and that Palin insisted that she campaign late into the night on Monday, catching whatever sleep she can on the flight.

On Monday, Palin will move east to west as she stumps in Lakewood, Ohio, Jefferson City, Missouri, Dubuque, Iowa, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Reno, Nevada, and Elko, Nevada. President Bush won all five of those states in 2004.
