Mark Kerrigan's attorney, Denise Moore, argued that her client should be released without bail, citing strong ties to the area and his Army service. She also said Mark Kerrigan, 45, was suffering from post-traumatic stress syndrome. A judge ordered Mark Kerrigan to the Massachusetts Bridgewater State Hospital for a psychological evaluation. The Massachusetts Department of Correction prohibits prisoners from attending funeral services, according to People.
