"It was a complete surprise," the former "Full House" star told People magazine Wednesday. "We are just thrilled and I am in shock still!"

"I was glad that everybody was there," she added. "People videotaped it, it was great."

The couple has a 5-month-old daughter, Beatrix, who was there for the proposal. She also has a 2-year-old daughter, Zoie, with ex-husband Cody Herpin.

According to the report, Sweetin's ring is a 2 and a half carat oval sapphire, surrounded by 18 diamonds in a snowflake shape.

But she and Coyle aren't in a rush to get married.

"We are in no hurry as far as dates or anything like that," she told the magazine, and, following in the footsteps of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, the two said that gay marriage rights factor into the couple's decision to wait.

Coyle added, "We want to wait until there's equality for everybody to get married."
