Molly Bish Murder Update: Evidence in Mass. teen's death being sent to Texas

WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) - Massachusetts officials are sending evidence in the unsolved killing of teenager Molly Bish to a private lab in Texas for analysis.

A spokesman for the Worcester District Attorney's Office told The Telegram & Gazette that the evidence is being sent to Orchid Cellmark Labs in Dallas for DNA testing.

Officials believe the testing will be done quicker at the Dallas lab than at the busy state police lab.

Authorities won't say which evidence is being sent to Texas.

Bish was 16 when she disappeared in 2000 from Comins Pond in Warren, where she was a lifeguard. Her body was found three years later in neighboring Palmer. No arrests have been made.

Her sister, Heather Bish, says she's waiting for test results on cigarette butts, duct tape and other items.
