Mobile breastfeeding vehicle to come to a city near you?

Breastfeeding truck to be funded using Kickstarter

(CBS) - What would you do if you saw an ice cream truck with a giant boob - nipple and all - on its roof?

You'd probably do a double-take. Then, tell your kids to stay away because they can't buy ice cream from it. It's not an ice cream truck, after all. It's The Milk Truck, an on-call mobile breastfeeding vehicle that performance artist Jill Miller would like to make a reality.

Miller is looking to get $10,000 in funding through Kickstarter, an online threshold pledge system for funding creative projects. If the breastfeeding crusader succeeds, nursing moms in the Pittsburgh, Penn. area will never have to worry about finding a private spot to pump or nurse again.

Miller plans to spend the money she raises to purchase the truck, give it a "boob job" (as in, that giant boob on the truck's roof), renovate the interior and exterior of it, hire moms to staff the truck and put gas in it.

All nursing moms would have to do is simply summon The Milk Truck using their smartphones. Summoners will reveal their locations, and The Milk Truck will come. They can then feed their babies under the converted ice cream truck.

You can donate as little as $1 to support Miller's project at Kickstarter.com.
