Lytro Light Field camera coming to major retailers

Photography fans will be able to shift the focus of their digital photos - after it's been taken. The Lytro Light Field camera is coming to national retail chains and some international locations.

Using "light field" technology, the Lytro camera records a full spectrum of light fields by using software inside of the camera. By having the light information available digitally, any user can edit the perspective of a photograph after it has been taken.

Clicking on different parts of the photograph allows you to make these changes instantly on screen. A video release by the company shows the company's concept of "living pictures."

Starting on Oct. 9, the Lytro camera will be available online at Target.com, BestBuy.com and Amazon.com.

In November, the camera will be available at City Target stores in Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle and Westwood, Calif.

The Lytro camera will be available in Australia, Canada, Hong Kong and Singapore starting in October.
