Local TV commercials as an art form (and hilarious)

(CBS News) I once wrote a column for YouTube Trends on the multitude of ridiculous and hilarious local television commercials on the web. And over time they have become elevated into (almost) an art form, with some savvy people identifying the viral video gold to be plundered in this medium. So go ahead and click play on the video above to see one such nugget yourself.

The tongue-in-cheek (but also all too real) ad was created and posted by comedic duo Rhett and Link, who have been highlighted here on The Feed many times now, and whose latest venture into the world of local television commercials entitled "SHIFT IT" (I can't imagine why...?) was done for Arlen's Transmission in Burbank, Calif.
