The pop singer revealed the album title news on Twitter:

"ARTPOP" stands for "Artistic Revolution Through the Potential of Pop," according to Gaga's Twitter page.

She also posted a photo on Facebook, revealing her new wrist tattoo of the album title, along with the caption: "new ink new album."

This isn't the first time, Gaga got an album-title tattoo. She did the same thing when announcing the name of her 2011 album, "Born This Way."

There's no word on when the set will be released, but some fans have already heard some new material, as Gaga has been previewing songs while on tour this summer, including the ballad "Princess Die."

Gaga launched her 110-date world tour earlier this year and will kick off the Europe leg this month.
