LA cops suspected of starring in porn video while on the job

(CBS/KCBS) LOS ANGELES - A bad decision while on duty may cost two Los Angeles traffic officers their jobs.

The two men are accused of appearing in a porn movie while on duty and in uniform, in which they reportedly spank and fondle a blonde actress in broad daylight.

In January this year, CBS station KCBS brought still pictures of the porn to the attention of the Los Angeles Department of Transportation. At the time, the department responded by saying, "We believe the photos supplied are doctored pictures as the images have been altered and are without any identifying information."

Although the department said it was "pretty certain" the vehicles were theirs, they weren't sure about the people seen in from of them and refused to continue with an investigation. However, administrators still warned  employees to conduct themselves in a professional manner.

Now, months after the racy photos were viewed, the porn "video" itself surfaced and led to re-opening of the investigation into the men's conduct, KCBS reported.

"It should not reflect on the fine job our traffic officers do out there 24-7 in all weather and situations.... (the) actions of a few don't reflect on (the) majority of our work force," a spokesman for the department told KCBS.

The video was reportedly made to catch everyday people off-guard and in questionable positions.

The two men, who have not been named, have been placed on administrative leave pending the investigation, according to UK newspaper The Daily Mail.
