Kobayashi unofficially beats Nathan's hot dog eating champ

(CBS) - Japanese competitive eater, Takeru Kobayashi, doesn't like to play by anyone's rules but his own. "Kobi" was banned from the annual Nathan's International Hot Dog Eating Contest in Coney Island, N.Y. because he refused to sign a contract with the Major League Eating (The NFL of competitive eating).

So Kobi held his own hot dog eating contest on the rooftop of a Manhattan high-rise and beat the Nathan's champion by 7. Check out Kobi's contest and the 2011 Nathan's men's and women's competitions in the video above.
