Kate Hudson reveals Heath Ledger as favorite on-screen kissing partner

Late actor Heath Ledger was a good smoocher, according to Kate Hudson.

During a recent taping of the Bravo series "Watch What Happens Live," the Oscar-nominated actress appeared with "Wish I Was Here" filmmaker Zach Braff and was asked by a viewer which one of her past co-stars, with the exception of Braff, was her favorite to kiss on-screen.

"I would say my favorite one was Heath," Hudson responded. "That was pretty excellent."

She starred with Ledger in the 2002 period drama, "The Four Feathers," in which they played an engaged couple torn by the conflicts around them in 19th century Sudan.

Ledger died from a drug overdose in his New York apartment in 2008. He was 28.

"He was just so beautiful and sweet and gentle," Hudson said of Ledger. "He was lovely."

"Wish I Was Here" is now playing in theaters.
