(CBS News) It won't be hard to miss Justin Bieber driving around Los Angeles from now on.

For the pop star's 18th birthday, Bieber's manager Scott Braun presented him with the "very hard-to-get" Fisker Karma, an exclusive electric luxury sports sedan, also driven by Leonard DiCaprio and Al Gore.

"You work really really hard," Braun told the now-legal pop star during an appearance on "The Ellen Degeneres Show" on Thursday. "I always yell at you, 'Don't get anything flashy!' You know, we're not about that. Be humble, be humble. And I kind of broke my own rule." Braun broke his own rule because the exclusive vehicle is not only hard to get, but it's also estimated at $100,000.

Braun, who presented the Fisker Karma on the show as a joint gift with Bieber's mentor Usher, said he wanted to give the singer a car "that would make him stand out on the road."

Cleary happy with his birthday present, Bieber said, "This is amazing."

Meanwhile, Beiber fans will be happy to know that new music is on the way. A new single, "Boyfriend," is due March 26. Bieber co-wrote the track with singer-songwriter Mike Posner.

The Canadian singer spent his birthday morning (March 1) on Ryan Seacrest's radio show, during which he chatted about his new single and upcoming album.

More fun is expected for Beiber's birthday. Soruces tell TMZ that he will parachute in the afternoon. Also planned is a dinner followed by a big bash in the evening, insiders say.

And as usual, Bieber was very active on Twitter. Here's a sampling of his birthday tweets:
