John Corbett and Bo Derek to Marry in "Not-Too-Distant Future"

NEW YORK (CBS) John Corbett and his longtime girlfriend, actress Bo Derek, are planning on getting married, the "Sex and the City" actor revealed Friday.

While talking about his love life on "Live with Regis and Kelly," co-host Kelly Ripa asked the actor if he and Derek ever considered "complicating [their relationship] with marriage."

"We were actually talking about that last night," Corbett, 49, responded. "We went to a party and we were talking about maybe doing it one day. First time we've talked about it in eight years!"

He also noted, according to USA Today, that Derek, 53, was "married to the great John Derek for 30 years. A lot of women, that's high on their list - to be married. I've never been married. We're not having kids. I think it's important to do if you're going to have kids."

But, he continued, "Why not? Yeah, we'll do that one day. For sure. In the not-too-distant future."
