Jimmy Fallon to present Justin Timberlake with MTV Vanguard Award

Justin Timberlake will receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award from a familiar face at this year's MTV Video Music Awards.

Jimmy Fallon is expected to present the cable network's lifetime achievement honor to the 32-year-old "Tunnel Vision" singer, according to People.

Timberlake has made multipleappearanceson NBC's "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" over the years. Their medley of rap hits went viral in 2010, and during his most recent visit, Timberlake revealed that Fallon hadinterrupted a speech at his 2012 wedding to Jessica Biel.

Despite the wedding faux pas, Fallon and Timberlake remain good friends, making it all the more fitting for the late-night host to present the award to the pop star on Sunday.

Known as the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award since 1991, the honor is given to artists who have had a prolific impact on MTV and the music video world as a whole. Previous winners have included Beastie Boys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Britney Spears and Madonna.

In addition to receiving the Vanguard moon-man, there's also a possibility that Timberlake will be reuniting with his *NSYNC group-mates at the awards show.

The 2013 MTV Video Music Awards will air this Sunday at 9 p.m. ET.
