Jersey toddler Tierra Morgan found dead in stream, still in car seat

(CBS/AP) LAKEHURST, N.J. - Police in New Jersey are looking for the father of 2-year-old Tierra Morgan who was found dead in her car seat, partially submerged in a stream.

Friends and family tell The Asbury Park Press that the toddler lived in Lakehurst with her mother and was having her first court-approved visit with her father in a month.

They say Arthur Morgan III was to return the girl to her mother, Imani Benton, Monday night.

Benton told the newspaper that she was informed by police Tuesday evening that the girl was found dead in Shark River Park in Wall Township.

According to CBS New York, a warrant charging Morgan with child endangerment was issued before the girl's body was found. Authorities have not said whether he's a suspect in her death.

An autopsy is planned Wednesday.
