But the special was also an opportunity for Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro to take in footage of their dealings with New Jersey law enforcement.
Last year, while filming the show, Brad Ferro, a New York City high school gym teacher, sucker-punched "Snooki" at a beachfront bar - all in front of MTV's cameras.

A New York Department of Education spokeswoman said that Ferro's firing is imminent because of the knockout blow.
Ferro's his father said that "Snooki" instigated his son "into doing something very stupid."
In the reunion special, "Snooki" said that even though Ferro said he was sorry in a newspaper, he has never apologized to her personally, and she does not consider it genuine.

Ortiz-Magro, on the other hand, was arrested in September of last year after getting into a fight while on camera.
Magro, 24, was detained Sept. 4 for aggravated assault after "striking a man with a closed fist," according to the police report.
Magro claims that he was walking home from a bar with fellow cast members when a man disrespected his friends and made "racist" comments to several African American security guards, according to People Magazine. Magro also said that the man may have spat on him.

"I really don't feel bad for the altercations that I did get into in Seaside because I'm really not a person who likes to fight," he told People.
"He was just being a drunk jerk, saw the camera," he told the magazine." I think he chased us down like two blocks or something like that. At that point, you're like, 'What am I gonna do?"'
Magro spent a few hours in jail and paid $600 for bail, according to People. He said he later got a letter in the mail saying the charges were dropped.
Jersey Shore, on the other hand, has reportedly been picked up for a second season.
