According to Deadline.com, Lopez will get paid $12 million for signing on to be the next resident judge.

Fueling diva rumors, sources close to the negotiations told the website that Lopez and her manager, Benny Madina, first asked the show's producers at Fox, Fremantle, and 19 Entertainment, for $15 million, along with a guaranteed movie deal.

"She was angling for an overall deal at Fox, including a put picture, to keep the movie career going. But Fox said 'no,'" an insider said.

However, a source at Fox told TMZ Tuesday that these excessive demands are untrue and were produced by people who resent the show. The source also insisted that negotiations have been "normal" and are now a "done deal."

According to the same report, Lopez is set to join Randy Jackson and Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler at next week's "Idol" auditions. She and Tyler will replace three departed judges: Simon Cowell, Ellen DeGeneres and Kara DioGuardi.
