Janeane Garofalo married 20 years, never knew

We've probably all heard of quickie Las Vegas nuptials, a la Britney Spears' 55-hour marriage. But what about one that lasts 20 years unbeknownst to either partner?

You can ask Janeane Garofalo about that kind of wedding.

She married Rob Cohen, a producer on "The Big Bang Theory," two decades ago at a Vegas chapel and says she only recently learned that those vows had staying power.

"Rob and I got married, for real, which we had to have a notary dissolve not 30 minutes before we got here tonight," Garofalo told The New York Post at a New York Comedy Festival reunion for "The Ben Stiller Show." "We were married for 20 years until this evening."

The 48-year-old comedienne/actress added, "We got married drunk in Vegas...We dated for a year, and we got married at a drive-through chapel in a cab. [We thought] you have to go down to the courthouse and sign papers and stuff, so who knew? We were married, and apparently now that [Cohen] is getting married for real, his lawyer dug up something."

Cohen is engaged to Jill Leiderman, a producer on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!"

Garofalo frequently does comedy shows at EastVille Comedy Club in New York, and is attached to the upcoming 2013 film, "For Better or Worse," also starring Rebecca Gayheart and Jeffrey Tambor.
