Industry Moves: Disney To Consolidate EMEA Operations With Diego Lerner As President

This story was written by Staci D. Kramer.

The Walt Disney (NYSE: DIS) Company continues to streamline wherever possible and it's EMEA's turn now. Diego Lerner is being posted to London immediately to take the new job of Disney's president of EMEA, reporting to Andy Bird, president of Walt Disney International. Lerner, who has been president for Latin America, will integrate all Disney lines of business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, with the exception of Disneyland Resort Paris and ESPN, into a single operational structure and oversee them.

Lerner already has done this in Latin America; he'll continue as president of that region, but won't be running it. That falls to Claudio Chiaromonte, who will take on operational responsibility for Latin America as COO and CFO; the Latin American businesses will report to him, while he will report to Bird. Release.
