Hayley Williams, Weezer collaborating on Muppets song

(CBS) Finally some bleh news comes from all things otherwise wonderful about "The Muppets." Hayley Williams is collaborating with Weezer for a song on "The Green Album," a muppet-themed record to appear in advance of "The Muppets" movie.

NME.com reports Paramore singer Hayley Williams and Weezer have recorded a cover of "Rainbow Connection" to appear on "The Green Album." Weezer has some connection with the Muppets. The band's video for "Keep Fishin'" from its fourth album, "Maladroit," featured Weezer as guests on "The Muppet Show."

The album will also feature music by OK Go, Alkaline Trio and The Fray. "The Muppets," written by Jason Segel and Nicholas Stoller and starring Segel and Amy Adams, is scheduled for release on Nov. 23.
