Police at the FedEx facility in Bedford Park, Ill., Thursday, Nov. 17, 2011 CBS

BEDFORD PARK, Ill. (CBS) - A man believed to be the husband of a FedEx employee in Bedford Park walked into the firm's shipping center there early Thursday morning and started shooting, reports CBS Chicago. The gunman later committed suicide, but no one else was hurt.

At about 8 a.m., employees said they heard a call come over the radio to evacuate the building.

One employee told WBBM Newsradio that he heard shots as he ran out of the building.

"As we were running outside, I heard more shots - maybe about three or four more shots - pop, pop, pop!" he said. "By that time, I didn't look back, and they were gone. Very scary situation."

Once employees were outside, a SWAT team entered the building and found the man - who has not yet been identified - dead, having reportedly shot himself in the head with his revolver.

By 10:45 a.m., employees were back in the building.
