Ga. man charged with murder after argument over puppy

GWINNET COUNTY, Ga - A Georgia man was fatally stabbed by his stepson early Wednesday after he refused to let him keep a new puppy, police said.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution reported that police identified the suspect as Diamond Mason, 23, after the incident in Lawrenceville, northeast of Atlanta.

Mason reportedly got into an argument with his stepfather, Joe Kollie, 51, and retrieved "a couple" of large knives in the kitchen, then allegedly stabbed Kollie multiple times.

Mason brought the puppy to the home about a week ago, CBS46.com reported.

The stepson has been charged with murder and is being held without bond.
