CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio - Bond has been set at $1 million for three of the four men charged in the murder of a popular Cleveland pub owner, reports The Plain Dealer.

Devonne Turner and brothers Brandon and Darien Jones made their first appearance in Cleveland Heights Municipal Court Monday on charges of aggravated murder, aggravated robbery and two counts of kidnapping in the June 30 shooting death of 61-year-old Jim Brennan, according to the paper.

The fourth man charged, Devonne Turner's brother Paul, faces two counts of obstructing justice and two counts of tampering with evidence for hiding a gun, believed to be the murder weapon. The Plain Dealer reports his bond was set at $500,000.

Cleveland Heights police said all four suspects confessed to being involved in the crime, according to CBS affiliate WOIO.

Brennan, of Gate Mills, Ohio, was shot and killed during an attempted robbery at his restaurant, Brennan's Colony, while it was closed. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner said the victim died of gunshot wounds to the head and extremities.

Police have said the shooting is being investigated as gang-related. The Northeast Ohio Media Group reports the Cleveland Heights police chief said one of the defendants had been working in Brennan's kitchen for about a month.

All four suspects waived their rights to preliminary hearings on Monday, according to the paper.

The case will now go to the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office.
