Firefighters rescue worker from 40-foot trench in California
SAN GABRIEL, Calif. -- Firefighters Monday rescued a construction worker who had fallen in a 40-foot trench in San Gabriel, CBS Los Angeles reports.
The incident was reported around 8:30 a.m. at a construction site at Main and Ramona streets, according to the San Gabriel Fire Department.
It was unclear how the man fell into the trench, which was six feet wide.
He was hoisted up at 9:35 a.m.
His condition was unknown.
