Ex-Ravens cheerleader who raped teen son's friend may face more charges

OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- Former Baltimore Ravens cheerleader Molly Shattuck, 48, admitted to raping her son's 15-year-old friend at a Delaware beach house, but now she may face more charges involving the same teen, this time in Baltimore County, reports CBS Baltimore.

Last week, Shattuck was sentenced to 48 weekends in jail for raping her son's teenage classmate inside a Bethany beach house last Labor Day weekend.

According to an affidavit obtained by CBS Baltimore, Shattuck first contacted her son's friend before that on Instagram. Last July while he was taking a summer class at the McDonogh School in suburban Baltimore, the teen told police she picked him up for lunch break five or six times.

According to the affidavit, the two would come to the T. Rowe Price parking garage, where the teen says they would "kiss or make out." According to The Baltimore Sun, the Baltimore County state's attorney is looking into whether that contact warrants more criminal charges.

Baltimore County prosecutors will speak to the victim's family before deciding whether to charge Shattuck, reports the station.

"She will spend the rest of her life trying to make up for it," said Eugene Mauer, Shattuck's attorney, according to the station.

Shattuck first gained fame as a Ravens NFL cheerleader and is the ex-wife of energy executive Mayo Shattuck.

Shattuck will begin serving her jail time in Delaware next month, and in addition, she will have to register as a sex offender.
