CBS affiliate KPHO reports that the area where the body was found has been contained and is being treated like a crime scene, officials said, which is common protocol in any unattended death.

Yavapai County sheriff's deputies have been searching for the 2-year-old boy since Monday. It was the second missing child search for deputies in a little more than a week. The first child, 2-year-old Sylar Newton, has not been found.

Emmett Trapp was wearing only a pajama top and a diaper when he fell asleep at home Monday evening, according to his mother. She said when she awoke at about 8 p.m., Emmett was gone.

Sylar Newton disappeared from his tent at the Beaver Creek campground in late July. After an extensive search, Yavapai County investigators determined Sylar is likely dead, and they believe his disappearance involved criminal activity.

Despite the timing. investigators have said there is no connection between the disappearance of Sylar Newton and the case of Emmett Trapp, now a death investigation.

Anyone with information about Sylar is urged to contact the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office at 928-771-3260.
