NEW YORK (CBS) British actress Emma Watson is having a hard time grasping the idea of being multimillionaire.

The 20-year-old "Harry Potter" star, who is said to be worth $32 million, told British Vogue that she was surprised about the influx of money coming her way from the wildly popular film franchise.

"By the third or fourth film, the money was starting to get... serious. I had no idea," Watson said in the December issue of the magazine according to reports in the UK's Telegraph. "I felt sick, very emotional."

Before having a "money conversation" with her father, Chris Watson, when she was around 17, the actress and Brown University sophomore revealed, she was given a weekly allowance of about $75.

Watson, who was cast as Hermione Granger in "Harry Potter" at the age of nine, was dubbed  Hollywood's highest paid female in Vanity Fair magazine this past March, ranking above the likes of Cameron Diaz, Angelina Jolie and Sarah Jessica Parker.

With her new pixie cut, Watson soon will be making her promotional rounds for the film adaption of the final book in the J.K Rowling series, "Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows." The first of the two-part installment opens Nov. 19.
