The leader of the Daghestani Jihad front, Emir Abdul Majid, is said to have been killed along with three other militants in an ambush by Russian forces near the Suleyman-Stalski district, according to a post on a militant Islamist Internet forum. Abdul Majid appeared in a video released on August 27 where he pledged allegiance to the Emir of the Islamic Emirate of Caucasus Dokko Amrov.
