Dozens of N.J. students injured when school buses crash in N.Y.

NEW CITY, N.Y. -- Two school buses collided Monday afternoon, sending dozens of students to hospitals, CBS New York reported.

The crash took place at around 2:30 p.m. on the southbound Palisades Parkway near Exit 11 in New City.

One of the buses rear-ended the other.

The New York State police said the buses were from Northern Valley Regional High School in Demarest, New Jersey and they were returning from Woodmont Day Camp in New City.

Roughly 40 to 60 students were taken to area hospitals with minor injuries, according the to New York State Police.
