Dick Van Dyke cancels event due to illness
Hollywood legend Dick Van Dyke has canceled a public appearance next week due to fatigue and other symptoms, Entertainment Tonight has learned exclusively.
His rep tells ET that the 87-year-old entertainer will not be able to attend the event on April 26 at the New York-based cultural institution 92nd Street Y (92Y) due to "fatigue and lack of sleep resulting from symptoms of a yet-to-be diagnosed neurological disorder."
Spokesperson Bob Palmer later told The Associated Press that the actor is undergoing tests for "cranial throbbing" that's causing him to lose sleep. Palmer said scans and other tests have yet to yield a diagnosis.
The rep added that based on medical advice, Van Dyke has canceled commitments requiring air travel and is currently resting at his home in Malibu, Calif.

The Emmy, Grammy and SAG Lifetime Achievement Award recipient is to be awarded with 92Y's first Lifetime Achievement Award for Bettering Humanity through Comedy. The renowned actor, director, writer, singer and dancer has entertained audiences for more than seven decades.
