​Deryck Whibley gives health update

Deryck Whibley says he's continuing his recovery and has thanked fans for their support

The Sum 41 rocker recently posted alarming pictures of himself in the hospital alongside a blog post that detailed his struggles with alcohol. "i was so freaked out. my liver and kidney's collapsed on me. needless to say it scared me straight," he wrote.

Now in a new Facebook post Whibley wrote that he's on the mend:

Whibley says he hopes to start on a new album and return to touring. The most recent Sum 41 album, "Screaming Bloody Murder," came out in 2011.
