(CBS/AP) NEW YORK - Police said David Mitchell, who is already accused of raping a woman in Central Park on Wednesday, is also being looked at in the 2002 killing of a woman in West Virginia.

West Virginia State Police Sgt. C.F. Kane confirmed Friday that Mitchell was considered a "person of interest" in the disappearance of Barbara Flake, who was last seen in 2002. Her remains were discovered in 2004, which reclassified the case as a homicide.

Kane said Mitchell was previously considered a suspect, but there was never enough information or probable cause to make an arrest.

Mitchell was charged Thursday with rape and assault of a 73-year-old woman in New York's Central Park and is being held without bail.
