(CBS) After a surprise 2011 touring hiatus, Dave Matthews Band will be back for its perennial summer outing this year. The 39-date tour will kick off May 18 in Woodlands, Texas, and stretch into September.

There will be an online presale for members of the DMB Warehouse Fan Association starting Thursday. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on March 9.

Also in the works is a studio album, the follow-up to 2009's "Big Whiskey' and the GrooGrux King." DMB is currently in the studio recording new material with Steve Lillywhite, producer of the band's first three efforts. There's no exact release date, but according to the Dave Matthews Band website, the album is "coming soon."
