Danielle Staub Reportedly Axed from "Real Housewives of New Jersey"
NEW YORK (CBS) Danielle Staub, the reviled star of Bravo's "The Real Housewives of New Jersey," has reportedly been given the pink slip.
According to Life & Style, Staub was not asked to return for the show's third season.
The 48-year-old mother of two acknowledged the report with a vague comment on her Twitter page Monday.
"Actually, I'm not even thinking about season 3 right now as I am considering many incredible options that have been presented to me," said Staub. "Right now I just want to let fans know that we have a fantastic finale coming up next week and explosive reunion shows on August 30 and September 6. Don't worry next year, I'll still be the one you either love to hate or hate to love."
Bravo declined to comment on the report, telling People magazine: "We haven't announced anything regarding a third season."
Staub received her "bad girl" image after Season 1 when allegations about her unsavory past, supposedly involving prostitution, drugs, and kidnapping, first surfaced. Back in May, she opened up about her past by releasing a tell-all memoir, "The Naked Truth: The Real Story Behind the Real Housewife of New Jersey."
The Season 2 finale of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" airs Aug. 23, followed by a two-part reunion that airs on Aug. 30 and Sept. 6.
