NEW YORK (CBS) "TV Theme Night" brought out the best - and the not-so-great - in the "Dancing with the Stars" competitors on Monday night, on what was hailed as the halfway point in the competition.

Each pair was assigned a theme from a popular TV show to dance to, from "Friends" to "Bewitched" to "The Brady Bunch" (three guesses which star danced to that one).

Brandy and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy earned the top score of the evening, a 27 out of 30, for their quickstep to the "Friends" theme. Judge Bruno Tonioli told the two that he was counting along with their steps so furiously that he broke his pen, while Len Goodman commended Brandy's ability to keep her upper body calm while her lower body stayed quick and sharp.

Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough also received high marks for their foxtrot to the theme from "Married with Children," complete with '50s-themed outfits. Carrie Ann Inaba told the pair - who were seen in rehearsals having a fight over learning the choreography - that it was good, but not Grey's best. Goodman agreed, saying the performance was too theatrical. Still, it was good enough to earn them a 25.

Bristol Palin and partner Mark Ballas were given the lowest score of the night (18 out of 30) for their disastrous jive to "The Monkees" theme. The pair started off wearing gorilla costumes, before pulling them off to reveal the sparkly outfits below. Goodman said he would have liked for them to keep the monkey suits on longer, while Bruno pointed out their steps weren't sharp.

Also near the bottom were Kyle Massey and Lacey Schwimmer, who earned a 20 out of 30 for their foxtrot to the "Charlie's Angels" theme, with Schwimmer rocking Farrah Fawcett hair and Massey sporting a terrible-looking fake moustache. Inaba said she loved it, but Goodman said it started bad and just got worse.

In the middle of the leaderboard were Rick Fox and Cheryl Burke's "Hill Street Blues" foxtrot and Kurt Warner and Anna Trebunskaya's adorable dance to "Bewitched" (a show that the Russian dance pro had never heard of). Both pairs earned 24 points for their performances.

Predictably, the two TV stars on the show danced to the themes from the shows they're famous for - Florence Henderson earned 21 points for her tango with Corkly Ballas to "The Brady Bunch" theme song, while Audrina Patridge and Tony Dovolani earned 23 points for their rumba to "The Hills" theme.

Another pair will be eliminated tonight during the "DWTS" results show. Who do you think it will be?
