(CBS) AKRON, Ohio - One election day dispute in Akron got so heated a man in a car arguing with another man about political signs at a polling place threw a cup of coffee in the second guy's face.

Was it Taster's Choice?

According to CBS Cleveland, the Summit County Sheriff's Department says 58-year-old John Pegley was arrested Tuesday on a misdemeanor assault charge. Pegley allegedly shouted obscenities from his car about  political signs being held outside a polling place.

The second man claimed he was beyond the area where politicking is banned on election day.

Officials say Pegley kept on shouting and then threw coffee in the man's face. The victim didn't require treatment at the scene, CBS Cleveland reported.

Authorities didn't say who the political signs endorsed.
