Craig Ferguson To Host Festival Gala

Craig Ferguson has been added to the lineup at the 24th edition of Montreal's Just For Laugh Festival, beginning July 1 and running through July 31.

"The Late Late Show" host will emcee the first of six galas at the festival and will also juggle duties of correspondent for his own show. Ferguson, who hails from Glasgow, made his debut at the festival 19 years ago. He took over the chair at "The Late Late Show" in January 2005.

Seinfeld alum Jason Alexander will also be on hand to host galas, as well as John Cleese and Ed Burne.

Comedians Bill Cosby, Margaret Cho and John Pinette are returning to the festival for full-length concerts.

Gilbert Rozon created the Just For Laughs Festival in 1983. More than 700 artists participate in the annual event which celebrates comedy along with some 2 million attendees each summer.

The first week of shows at the festival are mostly performed in French, while English shows begin during the second week.
